Can I use a FW 800 drive hooked to a FW 400 port? Also, if I have a drive with both FW800 and FW400 ports, can I use the FW800 port to hook the drive to another FW800 drive, and use the FW400 to connect to the computer?

FW 800 will run connected with proper cabling to the 400 port, but at 400 speeds.

I don't know if you can daisy change 400 and 800 drives. Best to check with your manufacturer.
