Apparently, there are substantial gains using Panther on a G5 over Jaguar.

This is good to hear but XBench is the only application showing such gains. The G5 optimized version of Cinebench didn't change at all for me. I think applications may need to be recompiled for Panther and not just for the G5 processor. It's all good in the end.

Interestingly, I noticed on the web at barefeats.com tha Photoshop 8 (CS) runs slower than PS 7.

Go figure.

How's that 24P DVD going.
