2 Gig, 4 GB ram, ACD's - 23", 20". The Radeon 9800 is rapidly becoming the bane of her existence - wierd flicker and pixelization. I installed a replacement last night and ... same thing. She doesn't know yet. Checked Apple Discussions and more than one poster talks about a bad batch of 9800's or possible logic board snafu. This sound familiar?

Saw reports of this before.
Many people had success by turning machine off, power supply unplugged, and carefully reseating the video card.
Might want to give it a try.

She did that with the original card. I did it with the replacement. Still, problem persists. Maybe it is a logic board thing. Aggravating!

Last suggestion:
Have you run the Apple Hardware Test that is on your installer app disc?
It takes a while, especially the extended test, but it reported bad ram for me and once replaced, the G5 dual works fine.

Ran the test with both cards - nothing showed. Throughout, my wife has been in contact with Apple tech support. At this point, the box is going in.

Good luck on this.
I know it's frustrating.
Out little PB 12" has gone in three times.

Thanks. Just dropped off the G5. Apple's covering the cost of the replacement card and whatever else. Wife's using my G4 - old reliable - knock on wood.
