Hey Guys ~ !

I’m a bit desperate, have a big job coming up and I need the drive space! But my Ultra SCSI-160 drives are not booting up in OS X. However, if I reboot in Classic Mode, the drives show up fine and are completely useable, changeable, ready to format, everything. So it is not that the drives are faulty or a termination issue.

Specs:
G4 Duel 450’s
OS 10.2.8
Seagate Cheetah Ultra-160 drives, 75 gigs – Model #ST173404LWV
FCP 4.0.2
Adaptec 39160 Two-Channel Ultra-160 controller card

Is anyone out there using SCSI drives under OSX? Any help greatly appreciated. I call Seagate, they tell me to call Adaptec who says that all the drivers are already installed in OSX and you shouldn’t need any new drivers. They tell me to call Apple. So I call Apple, who tells me to call Adaptec. You get the point. The moral of the story is that the only place where people REALLY know what’s going on is 2-POP!!!

Thanks in advance,
Jon
