I have an older dual drive firewire case kit that came with the 911 chipset. It's one of the generic brand cases on the market and it's working fine with a 120 gig drive (which was the largest available at the time). Now that there are other options for larger drives, I'm wondering what the scoop is for upgrading the firmware. Does this tend to work? Where can I get the firmware? I did see some kind of firmware posted on the OWC page (and I'm guessing this will work with my 911 chip too even though I didn't buy it at OWC) but the language they used to describe which drives needed firmware, and which didn't confused the hell out of me... mainly because there's the new issue with Panther, etc. Can anyone be of help? Thanks in advance.
