I have a small dilemma. I would like to finish my broadcast master myself. In the past through the miracle of FCP and print to video I have cut, colour corrected, laid back the mix and packaged a show to be broadcast. I have always dumped it out to DVCam via print to video and a DSR40 and then sent it off to a "real" post house. They, in turn, would take my little tape with its cranky little TC and dump it over to DBeta, BetaSP or SX, with the programme starting promptly at 10:00:00:00 TC. I want to purchase an I/O that will let me EDIT TO TAPE so my programme can start promptly at 10:00:00:00.
I now have a BetaSP UVW1800 and black burst generator, but I need a break out box or card to give me component in out, and good genlock.
I'm thinking AJA Io, gives me more flexibility than the KONA-SD.
But, will it give the frame accuracy needed? I don't know. Will anyone that does know please fill me in?
Current config is this: G4 Dual1.5G/2G RAM/124G of 10K Ultra160 drives/900G FW400 drives/RS422 control through Keyspan Adapter.
All advice great appreciated.
