I am planning to buy a G4 Dual 1.25 Ghz demosystem equipped with Pinnacle CinéWave Classic RT, CinéWave RT Pro and Medea 320RTS.

Is there any known problems with the CinéWave/Medea and G5 and Mac OS 10.3? Will I be able to upgrade to G5 in the future?

You best be talking to them.

One major difference, that might apply, is that G5's, particularly the dual processor, utilizes PCI-X controllers, not PCI controllers.

Don't know about Cinewave, but it's worth a phone call.

Definitely double-check the specific card. I have seen a demo of Cinewave running on a G5, so I know it works. Now, here is the issue. Pinnacle (as of last week, at least) only qualified a fibre-channel card and X-Serve array for Cinewave in the G5. You might want to check with ProMax as they have noted that they have less expensive storage solutions. But, I would exercise a certain amount of caution. It is possible now that ATTO has the UL4D drivers now. If that is the case, your SCSI array might then work.
