Decklink on slower system

We are looking at getting a decklink pro card. Does anyone know what their performace is like on a system below the recommended specs? We have a dual 533 and hoping that it will run.

I have not tried one on a system below BMD's spec, but I tend to take specs rather literally. Yes, you might be able to get by but I would not risk it personally. Just my .02 on the matter.
