Just installed a Hitachi 185Gb Deskstar in my G4 DP.
Having formatted the drive I now have a capacity
of 174Gb. Is this correct? Losing over 10Gb
seems a little harsh to me!

If you do the math, and I can't remember what the math is, you'll see that's just about right.

My 250 Gb has about 237 formatted.
