I have a G4 1.25 dual
Is it a good idea to buy OEM Ram from a site such as newegg.com?
I understand that OEM means the part was used during manufacture of other parts.. is this correct?
Finally, are there any tests comparing various ram manufacturers.. that will give insight into which is better, perhaps more stable, quick, etc. etc.?
I was all set to buy OWC Ram, but am now thinking about buying Kingston, though the 512 Ram sticks on newegg.com, and mac mall seem to be for Kingston value ram for between 75 and 95, while on the Kingston website the Ram is priced at 143. A little fishy if you ask me

OEM means, I believe, "original equipment manufacturer."

I understand that it is RAM intended to be placed in a machine for sale, but some is sold on the market.

ramseeker.com is a good source of RAM pricing.

Kingston is great RAM. So is Kingston ValueRAM, which is cheaper.

OWC has good pricing, so does Coast to Coast, etc.

Try ramseeker, and make certain you buy with a lifetime warranty.
