I just installed an IBM/Hitachi DeskStar 180 GB drive into my Mac G4. When I initialized the disk, it only said it had 128 GB capacity. I found out that when you use Disk Utility on OS9 (which I had to, since the drive I replaced had my OSX on it), the hightest recognized capacity is 128 GB. When I re-installed OSX, and reformatted the drive, it STILL only allows for 128 GB. I got on the horn with a tech from IBM and since my drive is hooked up through a PCI expansion port, I would need to check on any new drivers to download. I can't remember what kind of card I installed a year and a half ago! After researching, I got it down to ACARD systems. So, I still can't figure what kind of thing I need to download to get my drive up to max capacity. Any ideas? I checked the ACARD site and it's confusing me.
