Default scrolling text max. lenght is 1 min, 5 seconds?

End credits. I pick scrolling text. When I drop it into the timelime, the max lenght is only 1 minute. Refuses to change duration. Need at least 5 minutes.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Use the Boris filter. The default length when the in and out points are set to the beginning and end of the filter will be two minutes. Go to the motion tab and reset the duration.

Change the duration of the scrolling text before you put it in the timeline. You can then make it any duration you want.

There is a limit to the amount of text it will hold. I always just do it in Motion. Or create a PhotoShop document with your credits if they contain more text than FCP's scrolling text generator will hold, and keyframe it's positions. Or use Boris.
