Default Speed Tool render issues

Ok, so here's the problem. I've set four keyframes within a short 6 second clip and I've set the segment speeds to go from normal speed to high speed, then down to slow and back to normal.

Everything works perfectly before I render the preview. After rendering there is a weird one frame judder at the new speed segment keyframes. When I step through the clip I can see that it is stepping backwards one frame exactly at the keyframe position before moving into the new speed segment. I have tried all the different in and out curves and it always plays perfectly before render and always plays with this maddening one frame back-skip after a full render.

The project is NTSC DV 29.97 anamorphic.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

For info: FCP 7.01, OS X 10.62, Mac pro 2.88/8 core, 6gigs ram, Perian QT plugin installed (in case there are any known incompatibilities).

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Sounds like a bug. You might want to try easing the speed change and see if that helps it.

Zoom in very tight, make sure you don't actually have a downward slant to the graph. Four keyframes in six seconds is pretty tight. I'd like to see a screen shot.
