Default CCTV Comes to One School’s Restrooms

The school bathroom has always been a troublesome place for some teachers and students, with smoking, vandalism and hazing have gone on for generations.

One school in England is putting CCTV in its little boys’ and little girls’ rooms—the “loo”—according to the Midlands section of SundayMercury.net.

The school says it’s to fight vandalism, and that the cams are aimed only at the sinks. Some students are parents are complaining; school administrators tried to assure them that “protocols” would be followed.

So, good idea? Should other schools do this?
