black screen on capturing DVC Pro HD via firewire
When capturing DVCPro HD 720p60 via firewire, I get sound but only a black screen. My capture settings are for DVCPro HD 720p60 and non-controllable device, audio and video are selected in clip settings.
I am running FCP 7 on a MacPro 4, 1; 2.66 GHz processor; 3 GB memory. Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong? This is for an assignment that is due today... Appreciated, Gary |

Why non-controllable? Is this is a deck or a camera? Which one?

If you are capturing via firewire, then your device setting should be for firewire.
