CG Supervisor - SWAY, Culver City, CA

Award winning SWAY Studio is actively recruiting a well-rounded CG Supervisor to participate in a variety of cutting edge commercial work.

Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of CG leadership experience using 3DS MAX and V-RAY renderer on live-action commercial and/or feature film productions
• A broad knowledge of 3D techniques, software packages and pipelines
• Basic Nuke compositing knowledge
• Creative and collaborative problem solver who is organized and critical of his or her own work.
• Strong artistic skills, with a good eye for form and motion
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and an interest and ability to mentor artists
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (such as python, C++, perl, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities
• Proactive at determining, modifying and maintaining the most effective and efficient technical workflow
• Evaluate the layout, modeling, rigging, animation, texture, lighting and compositing needs of a project and develop and execute a strategy for incorporating these needs within the pipeline
• Manage a team of artists by providing clear direction and strong leadership, setting clear objectives, monitoring their process, progress and results
• Reporting concerns with deliverables, performance or the ability of any personnel to meet contracted requirements and deadlines
• Ability to evaluate pitches, proposals and ideas in order to identify methods and accurately evaluate the team and technical requirements of a project
• Expand artists’ creative and technical capabilities through continued experimentation, research and professional development
