Default Can not ingest/import video from HVX200

i have tried everything i have read. I have downloaded updated drivers and all. But when i connect via firewire, my mac does not pick up the p2 card(s). I assumed i would see a P2Card icon on my desktop or in the finder, but I don't. Also, when i open the P2 CMS program, and i with the HVX200 connected, the program does not detect any clips at all. I've been a complete standstill for days, and I can't get any of the video off my P2HD!

Please please please help!
I am a complete noob
I did go through the manual
Thanks in advance!

Have you held down the CAMERA/MCR button on the back of the camera to switch to Host Connect mode? (This is in your manual...)
