Default they aren't up to speed

The company I do my show's for, said their children's block is only SD. They're 2 years away from converting to HD. You see I was going to buy the new Panasonic HMC150 but now I'm not sure. My question is can I give them what they want using an HD format. I assume I could shoot the footage, log and transfer and somehow down convert? Someone told me the AGHVX2200aP2 cam would solve my problem because it shoots minidv as well as HD. I need to deliver mini dv masters which they dump to digibeta. Could I be stuck getting just another minidv camcorder and upgrade to HD later. This is getting
difficult. Any ideas or thoughts if it was you in my situation. (my GL1 is done.)

It's easy to make HMC150 HD to SD downconverts by batching in Compressor. And you keep the HD masters for when they decide they need HD.
