Default Video Asset Replacement

I have a completed DVDSP project that I have already burned DVDs from. The client has asked for some simple revisions to the project that don't require any timing changes just swapping out some shots. Can you simple some how swap one exported video for another without re building all the menus etc.? and then re encode it?

Not without the existing DVDSP project and original assets. You'd have to rip it and rebuild entirely from scratch- and all at a lower quality. Isn't that lovely? Next time save all of the final used assets and the DVDSP project for at least a year.

Default Re Assets

Thanks Noah, I do have the project still. But my question is to do with is there a way just to swap out one piece of video for another without having to rebuild all the menus and chapter indexes. RC in TO

So you have the original project in DVD Studio Pro- i.e. all original MPEG-2 assets, menus, etc. Then of course- you can swap out a video track. Just go into the track viewer, delete the video portion and drag in the new MPEG-2 you want to swap. Don't really get the question...

I've done this, actually quite often. When I do my revisions in FCP, I export my MPEG-2/AC3 files out with the exact same names as the original versions, overwriting the original versions. In DVDSP I "re-link" the media, poof, done.
