Default Nikon D90: HD Films I've Made

The Nikon D90 is the first DSLR with 720p video. It's not the best quality now that Canon has come out with the 5D, 7D and T2i. But it works. I am selling mine to buy the Canon T2i after watching many reviews. I was convinced. Here is an interview I did using the D90, it looks very good.

1. Attack Of The Rebel Zays (Interview)
2. Nollieflips with Phil Clark (Trick Tip)
3. The Hartshorne Horror (Short Film)
4. Skateboarding in NYC with Cody Benesta (Interview)
5. History of Joe Palaia Park (Documentary)
6. Asbury Park, NJ (Montage)
7. Sea Bright, NJ (Montage)
8. Cheez-Its (Short Film)
9. Southern Anthem: Codys New Life (Interview)
10. Zay's Late Night Snack (Short Film)
11. The Scary Night (Short Film)
12. Long Branch Skatepark - 10/8/08 Montage

A big problem is there is no jack for a microphone. So for these interviews, I would have to hook up a lavaliere mic to my Sony VX2100 and match the sound to the video of the D90 in post production. And for the short films, I would have to record all the sounds and dialogue in ADR. So it is a pain in the ass, but it comes out good nonetheless. The microphone jack is another reason why the Canon t2i is something to purchase. I have had a good, long run with the D90. But its time for a change, with much better quality and ease of use. I'm excited to see what I will be creating!

Hey John,
Nice work on the skate vids. Being an oldskool skater I watched those first.
I think the quality is great from the D90. I have a D300s that I shoot with and I've been pretty happy with the results.
Have you tried using one of those little digital recorders for your audio? I have a buddy that uses one with a sync slate app for his iPhone, he says it works pretty good and it's a snap to line up everything in post.
