What you can expect:- Creation and maintenance of efficient character animation rigs of varying complexity (Bipedal and quadrupedal rigs, hero characters, background characters, motion capture rigs) and integration of the rigs into the show pipeline
- Creation and maintenance of weighted skin and other deformations and incorporation of mesh updates into the rigs
- Building and/or integration of face rigs, muscle simulations, cloth simulations, dynamics and hair
- Communication with and support of animators and other artists who may use the rigs to assess and agree how to best meet their requirements
- Responsible for achieving high quality work within the time budgets given
- Writing and maintenance of utility scripts and related documentation as may be required to support fellow riggers, animators or pipeline developers
What we require:- A demo reel that demonstrates significant experience and ability in the creation of creature and character rigs for high-end computer animation
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and movement
- Strong understanding of some animal anatomies (dogs, birds, etc) and a desire to learn more depending on the requirements of the project
- Deep understanding of the Maya rigging tool sets and ability to learn proprietary tools. Experience with Houdini is also appreciated
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (python preferred)
- Strong communication skills and a clear understanding of animator requirements. The applicant must be able to speak to an animator in their
